Staff Spotlight – Jonathan Armstrong, Service Coordinator

Staff Spotlight – Jonathan Armstrong, Service Coordinator
  1. Hi Jonny, we’re eager to get to know you better! Can you tell us about your journey to becoming the Service Coordinator at solv?

I’ve been with solv since it’s inception and even before that! It all started when I met Stephen Kane. In 1994, he was looking for an office worker for the then named Central Boiler Services. And I’ve been with Stephen for almost 30 years this August!! It’s the only job I’ve ever really had.

  1. As the Service Coordinator, what do you find most rewarding about your role?

Helping our key customers with any challenges they’re experiencing – we’re problem solvers! When customers come back with positive feedback and thank me, it’s really rewarding..

  1. Team dynamics play a crucial role in any organisation. How do you ensure effective collaboration and communication among your team members?

I have an open door policy – we’re happy to leave our doors open and team work is key, we share any problems we’re having and help out with workload if any one person is too overwhelmed.

  1. If you could change one thing about the industry, what would it be and why?

Instead of feast or famine – having a steady flow of work throughout the year, winter tends to be hectic!

  1. Outside of work, what are some of your hobbies or interests that help you recharge?

Playing guitar, DJing – music is always the answer!

  1. If you could swap roles with someone else in the company for a day, who would it be and why?

Of course it would be Ruth, our Marketing guru! Her role is so diverse.

  1. What’s your favourite time of the year?

Summer: BBQ’s, beer & sun.
