Alpha E-Tec NX 28 Error Codes & Fixes
This section covers error codes for the Alpha E-Tec NX 28 combi boiler:
01 – Ignition Failure
🔧 Fix: Check your gas supply and ensure your meter has credit (if prepaid). Reset the boiler. If the issue persists, call a Gas Safe engineer.
02 – Overheat Boiler Lockout
🔧 Fix: Turn off the boiler and let it cool down. Bleed radiators to release trapped air and ensure all valves are open. Contact an engineer if needed.
03 – High Flue Temperature
🔧 Fix: Turn off the boiler and check for obstructions around the flue. If the error recurs, a professional inspection may be necessary.
10 – Low System Pressure
🔧 Fix: Check the boiler pressure gauge. If below 1 bar, top up the system via the filling loop. If the problem continues, seek professional help.
37 – Low Supply Voltage
🔧 Fix: Verify that your boiler is properly connected to the power supply. Reset the boiler or contact an electrician if needed.
Alpha E-Tec Hybrid Error Codes & Fixes
The E-Tec Hybrid combines a gas boiler with a heat pump, so its error codes may relate to either system.
01 – Ignition Failure

10 – Low System Pressure
🔧 Fix: Check the boiler pressure gauge. If below 1 bar, top up the system via the filling loop. If the problem continues, seek professional help.
38 – Loss of Flame Rectification
🔧 Fix: Reset the boiler and check for issues with the gas supply or flue. If the error code reappears, contact a Gas Safe engineer.
