Hi Ruth, thanks for joining us! We’re excited to hear about your role at solv.
- Can you tell us a bit about your role in marketing at solv and what a typical day looks like for you?
No two days ever look the same, there’s so much variety in this role! As well as working on creating campaigns to bring in new business, I also manage our online presence, and supporting our brand in the community. There’s way more to it than that but that’s as succinct as I can make it!
- What’s your favourite part about working at solv, and what makes it special to you?
I love the close-knit feel of the team and the energy everyone brings to their work!
- How do you see your marketing efforts impacting solv’s growth and success?
I like to think of it as chipping away! It’s so rewarding when customers mention they’ve found us through a campaign or banner I’ve worked on. It shows that our efforts are making an impact, raising brand awareness, and helping us reach new customers. It’s great to know that both my work and solv’s broader presence are bringing in people who recognise our expertise and commitment.
- What has been your most memorable project at solv so far?
Updating our website was definitely a standout project. It involved a lot of moving parts, coordination, and collaboration across teams. It was challenging, but seeing the final product—and how incredible it looks now—made all the hard work worth it!
- How do you keep creativity flowing and stay motivated in your role?
It’s not hard to stay motivated, I genuinely love what I do! I get inspired by visuals I see online or something a coworker says can give me a spark of an idea, plus seeing results from our campaigns definitely keeps me motivated!
- What’s a marketing skill you’re currently developing or a goal you’re working toward?
I’d like to deepen my skills in digital analytics to further refine our campaigns for even greater results.
- What do you enjoy doing outside of work to relax and recharge?
When I’m not socialising with my mum friends, I’m quite crafty so you can find me making jewellery which I sell at craft fairs!
