    1. Hi Barbara, we’re excited to hear about your time at solv! How long have you been with the company now?

    I’ve been with solv for almost a couple of years – it’ll be two years in October.

    1. What does a typical day look like for you as a Helpdesk Administrator at solv?

    My days are quite busy, especially on Monday mornings when we catch up on messages from the weekend. Any calls received by the call centre are converted into tickets if they need further action. Most of my day involves assisting customers over the phone and through email, working to resolve their issues.

    1. What attracted you to the role at solv?

    I initially worked in the catering industry but wanted a career change. I had some administrative experience, though it was within catering, and I was looking for a new challenge and a different environment.

    1. What do you find most rewarding about your role at solv?

    It’s incredibly rewarding to be part of a team that helps customers get their heating back on, especially when it’s cold. Knowing that we make a significant difference in their comfort and safety is very fulfilling.

    1. How do you handle high-pressure situations at the helpdesk?

    I focus on the bigger picture and stay grounded, always remembering that our main goal is to help our customers. It’s also essential to rely on my team members for support, as teamwork is key in managing stress and pressure.

    1. What skills do you think are essential for success in your role?

    Being organised is crucial, as is keeping meticulous notes to ensure I stay on top of priorities and tasks.

    1. How do you stay motivated and positive at work, especially on challenging days?

    Each day presents a new challenge, and it’s the variety and the problem-solving that I find enjoyable. The dynamic nature of the job keeps me motivated.

    1. What’s a fun fact about you that your colleagues might not know?

    I’m a big fan of the singer Pink and recently attended one of her concerts!

    1. Outside of work, what are your favorite hobbies or activities?

    I enjoy walking my dog, maintaining a tidy home, and spending quality time with my family.

    1. If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?

    I would love to revisit the USA to explore its diverse culture and visit new places I haven’t been to yet.

    1. What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?

    Stay calm, cool, and collected in stressful situations.
