The long-awaited announcement of the Eastside Awards finalists was published earlier this month.
The Favourite Eatery category, sponsored by Solv, was put to a public vote with nominations being made via Belfast Live. The three worthy finalists were named as:
- Bodega Bagels
- Gardener’s Rest at Hillmount
- Lazy Claire Patisserie
Ruth Henderson, Solv’s Marketing Executive, visited all three establishments on the run up to Christmas to pass on our congratulations. She also left them with complementary posters announcing them as finalists, to be displayed in their shop windows.
The glittering awards ceremony will be held on Friday 27th January 2023 where the winner with the most nominations out of the three finalists will be announced, along with the winners of the other various categories.
Hosted by television presenter Tara Mills, the celebration of the Eastside Awards will be held in Hastings Stormont Hotel. Along with at least two representatives from each of the finalists, Solv will also be in attendance. Managing Director Stephen Kane will attend, not only as a sponsor, but also as a member of the Eastside Awards committee.
Stephen Kane, when asked why he felt the Awards are so important, responded:
“They bring to the fore all the positive stories that were, and still are happening in our local community. The awards ultimately highlight all the good things, that might have otherwise been missed, celebrating those companies and persons who are making a difference.”
At the awards ceremony, we’re hoping for a full house and are really excited to celebrate the best of East Belfast 2022!
